Privacy
How I handle your data.
Controller
Stefan Deinböck, e-trace, Weidstrasse 43, 8472 Seuzach, Switzerland, stefan@e-trace.ch. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies.
In short
For visitors, this website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking services, no advertising, no social media plugins and no contact form. External videos and music only load after you click.
Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by a provider in Switzerland (Metanet AG). When you visit, technically necessary data is stored in log files: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system, and referrer. This serves secure and stable operation. Retention follows the hosting provider’s settings.
Fonts
All fonts are served from this website itself. There is no connection to Google or other font services.
Search
The full-text search runs entirely in your browser. Search terms are not sent to a server.
Getting in touch
If you write to me by email or WhatsApp, I process the information you send (e.g. name, contact details, message) to handle your request. WhatsApp is additionally subject to the privacy terms of WhatsApp and Meta. If you prefer not to use it, write to me by email. I keep the data as long as needed for your request or as required by law.
Embedded videos and music
Some project pages may embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo or Suno. They only load once you click “Play”. Only then is data (including IP address, browser and the page visited) transmitted to the respective provider – for YouTube via the domain youtube-nocookie.com, for Vimeo with “Do Not Track” enabled. The providers’ privacy terms apply. Video files played directly from this website do not transmit data to third parties.
External links
Links to LinkedIn and Instagram lead to third-party websites. Data is only transmitted to these providers once you click. Their privacy terms apply.
Administration area
The area under “/admin/” is for the site owner only. A technically necessary session cookie is used there for login.
Your rights
You can request information about the data stored about you and ask for correction, deletion or restriction of processing. Write to stefan@e-trace.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
I update this statement when the website or the legal situation changes. Last updated: 3 October 2026.
